Marianna wins via triangle choke in the XFC XI New Generation show 7/9/2010
What a great show of stand-up and ground skills performed by Marianna Kheyfets in her professional MMA debut in the XFC show held at the St. Peterburg's Time Forum in Tampa, Florida on July 08th, 2010.
Marianna faced the tough Kim Couture in her first MMA fight. After a good exchange of strikes for both sides, Marianna knocked Kim down following up with some ground and pound. Kim tried to reverse the situation landing inside Marianna's triangle.
Special thanks goes to Rob Cipriano and Hitalo Machado, both striking coaches at Best Way BJJ Danbury / ATT Connecticut, for the great work getting Marianna ready. |

Hitalo Machado defeats his opponent via rear naked choke it the WCF 8. 9/28/2009
Danbury, CT - It was a great night for Best Way BJJ and American Top Team. Hitalo Machado and Brent Reed represented our team with all their heart and will to fight. Two great performances that mades us proud!
Brent Reed showed a warrior spirit: How many people would keep fighting after falling out of the ring injuring his right arm, to the point that it could be barely moved to punch or anything else? How many people would have said: "Coach, I still can do this, let me fight please!"?. Brent Reed did it! Congrat Brent, you didn't win the fight but for us you are a real champion!
Hitalo Machado was just perfect. He pushed the pace during the entire fight surprising who did not know about his striking skills. As usual in Machado's carreer he had to face a much an opponent with much more experience, which it did not affect his confidence. After a perfect take down defense, Machado took his opponent's back submitting him with a rear naked choke in the first round.
No matter if you want to be a professional fighter or just to have fun, be in shape, learn real martial arts and make new friends, at Best Way BJJ / ATT you will find the most important: a team that is a family, real martial arts, and teammates that will make you proud!!! |
